Surrogacy Journey of Love: How I Carried Another Woman’s Dream and Helped Build a Family

Surrogacy Journey of Love: How I Carried Another Woman’s Dream and Helped Build a Family

Adopting motherhood is truly a life-changing moment for a woman. From experiencing so many inexpressible emotions at once to welcoming a tiny human into your life, everything is beautiful. This girl’s life also changed when she accepted her daughter at 22, and she knew she wanted to experience those emotions repeatedly. Her joy and immense love for her daughter ensured she wanted more children. Thus, the idea of being a surrogate mother first crossed her mind.
In the next few years, she was now a mother to 4 beautiful children, but what she observed around her in her surroundings was deep.

She saw how a few of her friends were infertile, and would never be able to experience the joy she was able to experience. Thus, the idea of surrogacy, which she hadn’t thought about much earlier, finally had a purpose. It felt like god chose her to help people be happier.
Without any delay, she researched how it worked and the process. She even joined multiple online communities with women worldwide and signed up with a surrogacy agency. The only request the woman had was to find IPs, i.e., intended parents who wanted to be a part of this journey.
She wanted to find a couple nearby, and to her surprise, the couple lived in the same city, which amazed her. She took her time learning the couple’s whole story and why they were looking for a surrogate mother, and she was stunned by the heartbreaks and grief one goes through in life.

They first met at her 8th wedding anniversary, and although it was just a nervous coffee date, it turned into something more serious. This is because they were ready to embark on a new journey even before the story was narrated!
Two embryos were transformed in January 2018, requiring a two-week wait. Everyone waited impatiently for the results, as they had no other option. Finally, on the eighth day, when they knew they couldn’t wait anymore, she took a pregnancy test.
The test results were positive!

The room was filled with teary eyes but hearts full of gratitude and love, and they bonded quickly. It was the sixth week of the pregnancy when she was lying on the ultrasound table with her head on the table, and she felt the kind of happiness she hadn’t experienced before. It was because she held the hand of the woman who would become a mother for the first time. At 13 weeks, it was confirmed that she would give birth to a baby girl.
Time passed swiftly. Every single minute, every memory made was special and full of joy. On the 14th week, they decided to get a photoshoot done as they were aware it would be a memory dearest to them.

The pregnancy was smooth, but the labour pain lasted for over 20 hours. Whenever the thought and purpose crossed her mind, she felt at peace even in pain. During the process, the doctor had to turn the baby’s head manually, and soon she dilated 5cm more in just 20 minutes. On September 22, with big hearts and smiles, the little angel was welcomed into this world.

The couple gave her the sweetest name: Alice Eloise. When the biological mother saw the couple hold their first baby in their arms, tears streamed down her face as her life felt more meaningful, and it was forever going to be an unforgettable moment of her life.

It wasn’t an ordinary baby she had been carrying for the last nine months, but a dream and someone’s family, too. Distance couldn’t affect the bond they had made all this time, as the couple kept in touch with the mother, updated her regularly, and shared memories very dear to them with her, too.
A book to gift Alice one day, when she grows into a beautiful young lady, was also made to tell her the entire story. Their story is proof that surrogacy is a gift and one of the purest, most sacred forms of love!
