Love has the immense power to transcend after a person goes through the most profound grief. But the pain of loss and healing alone takes a lot of strength! Justine Zappa’s journey of motherhood has been full of discomfort and heartbreak. It all started when she lost her baby girl on the 18th of May, 2018. The couple jumped in excitement when the pregnancy test showed two bright pink lines. It was a moment of joy and happiness for the couple as they waited for it!

However, just when Justine was 14 weeks pregnant, in a routine scan, the doctor told her that the baby had a severe neural tube defect and there was no chance the baby could survive. This means it was time to terminate the pregnancy! A pregnancy that brought so much happiness, and what they had been so desperate for.
She zones out, hearing how she won’t be able to hold her baby in her arms and how everything was excellent just a few days ago. It takes one piece of news to turn your world upside down!

Justine wasn’t mentally and emotionally prepared to terminate the pregnancy, so she kept the baby inside her till it was time to give birth. They named her Gigi. On the 27th of August, Justine entered the birth space with high spiritual energy. Her husband and mother accompany her. As she was in labor, experiencing extreme contractions, Gigi’s special song started playing. The magical song, the moment it started playing, broke her water!
In just the next few minutes, she gave birth. The birth space had positive vibes- a calm environment, soothing music, and her loved ones by her side. She held her in her arms, crying, but she made them smile, too. At least she got to see her before she was taken away; she wanted her to know how much her mother loved her.

The angel baby had passed away, so the couple made it home in time to kiss their son good night and tuck him in bed. They said his baby sister was safe and resting in a beautiful place.
The next three months drained Justine in every possible way until she discovered she was pregnant again! This time with a baby boy. The most special part was that his due date was the same date Gigi arrived. She was always there. She was watching over the family all this time!
Soon, Justine got to hold her rainbow baby in her arms, and that was all she wanted. She knew that she might never have held the rainbow baby in her arms if she hadn’t lost Gigi.

While they celebrate his presence every year, Gigi is never forgotten, either. Justine’s story is a potent reminder for countless women who have suffered similar experiences, and she wants to remind them that they are never alone. It is an eternal connection that is developed between parents and their babies!
