Signora Volpe returns for a third season, once again unfolding across three feature-length episodes that continue the series’ blend of mystery, atmosphere, and character-driven drama. Emilia Fox reprises her role as Sylvia Fox, the former MI6 intelligence officer who has traded covert operations for a seemingly quieter life in the scenic Italian town of Panicale.

However, peace rarely lasts long for Sylvia. Despite trying to embrace her new surroundings, she is pulled back into a series of unsettling and complicated investigations. This season includes the suspicious death of a winery owner, which quickly raises questions about motives hidden beneath the surface of the local wine industry. Another case takes a darker and more unusual turn with a “sleeping beauty” mystery, where a body is discovered in the bed of a wealthy couple, leaving behind more questions than answers.
As always, Sylvia’s professional challenges are matched by growing tension in her personal life. Her relationship with Capitano Riva, played by Giovanni Cirfiera, becomes increasingly strained as their differing priorities and unresolved feelings come to the surface. At the same time, the unexpected return of her ex-husband adds another layer of emotional complexity, forcing Sylvia to confront parts of her past she thought she had left behind.
With its mix of suspenseful storytelling, picturesque Italian settings, and evolving character drama, the new season promises higher stakes both in Sylvia’s investigations and her personal journey. Season three is currently expected to premiere in late 2026.
