He got suspended for standing up to his bully- Woman shares how she has never been prouder!

They said she got a call from her son’s school- A five-day suspension period. She was told how her son punched another boy thrice and had gotten into a huge fight.

Any parents would be disappointed and would scold their child for this. They might also spend hours lecturing their kids about being at fault and having self-control, but this woman did none of this.

She chose to listen to her son and now knew the whole story. She spent years raising her son so that he could differentiate between right and wrong and defend himself. This was definitely not just some random scuffle in the hallway!

Ever since her son Drew started middle school, the same boy kept testing her patience and bothering her in every way that he could, from humiliating Drew in front of his friends to exceeding limits to such a great extent that her son was threatened and mocked regularly.

The bullies had one mission- to make Drew’s life so miserable that he would quit school. This isn’t how life in middle school is supposed to look.

Because of the torture, Drew developed Anxiety and was fearful to walk alone or to speak for his rights. Every time he did, he was made fun of. The adults, whether the school management or the teachers, who were supposed to care for the children, failed to protect them. That too, despite having proofs and Drew repeatedly telling them what he was going through. Nothing was done.

After a while, he noticed nothing was happening. All that had happened was that the school gave the parents a ‘no contact ’ contract. What would a mere piece of paper do for the innocent boy? Drew eventually became silent and stopped complaining.

When the new year started, Drew and the bully had 4 classes. Being a mother and knowing her child was humiliated, the mother asked the school to intervene and switch classes. Again, nothing was done.

Soon, the matter was out of hand!

Travelling on the bus, Drew was threatened, and the bully even mocked Drew’s dad, who had no respect. The threats eventually shifted from Drew to his little brother, just 11 years old. And that was it. Drew had had enough already and realized he had to do something because the adults, despite being aware, did nothing.

Three punches and things were sorted.

The bully was stunned; his little army did not even protect him. Drew had a peaceful day the next morning, but the school suspended him.

Being a mom, she understood and didn’t say a word to her son because he was right. When no one was ready to stand up for him, the little boy decided to do so. After years of bottling everything inside, eventually things had to explode.

The story does not mean that the mom condoned violence, but when he chose to do things the right way, he was ignored. Eventually, when Drew took matters into his own hands, she couldn’t be mad. The adults were at fault this time!
