In her early thirties, she was divorced and had to navigate her challenges and significant life changes alone. The future was uncertain, and she wanted every day to pass and feel better; however, the thought that something needed to be changed was always present in her mind.
She tried getting a new job and even got one, but the feeling of emptiness remained constant. Not only this, but she even bought the fixer-upper home, but soon realised that the four-bedroom house was too empty for a single woman. It needed more people; it was meant for a family, not an individual.

She regularly visited the church, and one day soon after, the thought crossed her mind: She read about a foster care information session, something she did not know a single detail about. Was this a sign from God? Is this what destiny held for her? When she read about the session, she knew she wanted to attend it, and although her family and friends did not encourage the thought of fostering a lot, she signed up to attend it.
It was Mother’s Day, 2015, the day she finally completed all the required paperwork to become a foster parent. Waves of nervousness and excitement hit her, but she knew it was what she needed and wanted to do.

In a year, she had fostered several little angels. Each one held a very special part in her heart, and the house now felt like a home that welcomed her daily with open arms. While fostering a 13-month-old baby, she realised she wanted a long-term placement. Attachments happen quickly, but it was hurtful when she had to say goodbye to the babies.

A few weeks later, her phone rang. It was someone informing her how a newborn boy was abandoned at the hospital by his family and urgently needed a home. A baby with no name who was exposed to drugs. Cruelty at its peak!
She rushed to the hospital as she knew god this time chose her to be a mother for that baby. Tears welled up in her eyes when she saw the baby, the baby that was hers now. She named him Grayson. A year into taking care of Grayson and becoming his mother, she got a chance to adopt another baby. This time, it was a girl, and she couldn’t refuse as the baby was 4 days old and was also exposed to drugs.

She did not care about the timing or the situation—she was already taking care of another baby—the only thing she cared about was that the girl urgently needed a home, and it had to be her home. When she looked at the baby girl’s details, she froze. Everything stopped for a moment when she realized it was Grayson’s sister. They had the same mom!

She requested to meet the mother and asked her a few questions. This was confirmed when the mother told her that she also had a missing son.
Destiny wanted the siblings to be together, so when the mother gave birth to another child 13 months later, she also welcomed that baby to the family. Although fostering was a step taken to get closer to healing, it brought something more beautiful: unbreakable bonds and unmeasurable love!
