Souls destined to be together indeed have an instant connection, a feeling they have never experienced. Similarly, Erin, a gorgeous lady who just graduated from nursing school, fell in love. It was love at first sight! It was one of the usual nights, back in 2007, when Erin was hanging out with one of her friends at the bar.
There, she was introduced to a guy, and since the moment Erin saw him, she knew this was how love feels. Time stood, and there she stood blank, staring at the guy. At that very moment, Erin confessed to her friend how she thought she was in love.

Unlike other stories, this one worked! After that one night, the couple was inseparable. They had the kind of love people cry and pray for. Although they did have significant differences in families and lifestyles—he came from a big family with seven siblings, while Erin was the only child of her family—both were ready to give the relationship all their efforts and had a plan ready!

Just a year later, the couple was preparing for their wedding day, and as Erin worked as a nurse, she always wished to build a family, embrace motherhood, and experience pregnancy. The couple, too, soon after their wedding, started to try for babies, but months passed, and there was no positive sign of conceiving. With every passing day and later months, their hopes began to fade away, so they knew it was high time to see a fertility specialist.
The couple’s insurance could not cover the treatments, so to keep trying was the only option the couple had. Two more years of pain, and then came a bright day that felt like sunshine after rain when an IUI treatment finally worked.

Erin was expecting her first baby, and in 2010, their first baby, a beautiful red-head baby girl, was welcomed into the family.
When the baby turned one, Erin and her husband decided to grow the family, but disappointments and heartbreaks returned like before the previous pregnancy. All kinds of treatments kept failing, and seeing everyone else expecting around, attending baby showers became a tough job. Erin did not feel at peace going around with a fake smile and a heavy heart, as there was nothing else she wished for in that moment other than having siblings for her daughter.

The process and all the mixed feelings she had to go through all this time ended up emotionally draining her, so she opted for an alternate way the couple had always thought of—Foster care. In no time, the couple started and was soon done with all the certifications and skills required for individuals to become foster parents. Soon, the couple got their first placement! Not just one but two babies were going to become a part of their lives: a 14-month-old baby boy and a 5-year-old girl, both siblings.

The couple became so attached to the babies that they deeply loved them. However, the baby girl was just there to stay for a year and later had to move to their biological family. The goodbye was tough, but things had to be understood.
The couple was still grateful that her little brother would be there, and things got even better with the arrival of another 6-week-old girl and then her newborn sister. In October 2018, the couple adopted all three of the babies.

People who are not born but built entirely on love are often judged by those around them, as they do not accept the fact of having a family of six with three African American children and a redhead. However, they are all proud and full of love. And that is all that matters!
