Being pregnant at 21 and then getting the title of a ‘Divorcee’ at 24 made her sleepless. The only reason she had to keep going was her son. As the father was no longer present in the child’s life, Natausha was all he had. On days she felt lower than usual emotionally, she pondered how she managed to smile every day.
A mother loves selflessly, not caring about herself as the children are all they thinks and cares about, and being a single parent, she knew she had to go out of the way to take care and love her child but every night when she had to sleep on the couch with her 3 year old baby, she questioned life. Why was she and her child suffering while the father did not care and was happy? She had to visit food banks and even apply for welfare to make it easier to get food. Most people who are a part of Natasha’s life are not aware of this part of her life.

Every time she gets to look back now, she wishes to return to her younger self to give her the comfort little Natausha needed. She would hold her hands and tell her how she was enough and did not deserve this. It’s just that sometimes life holds things for us that we are not prepared for, and none of it happens because of us. She would show the younger Natausha how she will have a beautiful future because of her strength. She will find love again, and her lovely little family will have a safe space, good food, and a shelter they will call home.
But before that, she had to take an entire journey to rediscover herself and her identity and find a purpose in life. Younger Natausha should have known how love would return; this time, it would be pure and true.

For all those years when Natausha was alone, things were tough on her as a single mother; she had no idea how she would manage. But she made decisions independently, which would help her have a secure future. Natausha first returned to school, graduated, and pursued a career as a legal assistant. It was a job that she kept for seven whole years. Rather than let her loneliness take over, Natausha chose to make the time best for her growth, and she entirely took care of herself and learned the art of self-love.
Natausha wanted to tell her younger self how tough things were for her, but because of the tough times, she would learn the art of acceptance, loving without conditions, and staying strong when all you have are tests that leave you with something valuable. Once Natausha settled down, she found a guy.

From the beginning, there was a pull in the connection, a spark, so they got engaged. He is not just an excellent partner but has also made a perfect stepdad and a dad to the couple’s daughter. It took Natausha a lot, even losing and then rediscovering herself, but she wouldn’t change a bit of her life, as through it all, she found everything she wanted—true love, safety, and self-acceptance!
