This is the tale of my surprise twins not Surprise, you’re having twins, but “Surprise, you just had twins!”
I had continuously envisioned to give birth at home deprived the use of ultrasounds. Only one heartbeat was noticed every time I took dimensions for a single baby. Morning sickness was terrible during pregnancy, and then there were migraines that no doctor could treat. I had an ultrasound near the end because my midwife thought I might be breech. The baby was in a “hero” position rather than breech. The baby had enthused, according to a following scan, so I could still give birth at home.

My aquatic broke on July 12. I went to the hospital after 30 hours without feeling any active labor. Unsure if she could make it, my sister astounded me by showing up right before the beginning of my first reduction. There was only one heartbeat audible at the hospital. The shrinkages quickly became more severe. After I entered the birthing tub, the baby was born after two pushes.

Then there was another shrill contraction. I knew another circle of fire” but the staff believed it was the placenta. My second baby was born *en caul* two minutes later. We were all shocked.

At 38 weeks and 4 days, Ada Maze and Billie June, who considered 6 pounds 11 ounces and were 20 inches in length, were born. In adding to having three longer hairs than the others, they all had the same blood type. Both did not need NICU time after receiving a perfect score on their APGAR tests.

Nosy employees who wanted to witness the rare surprise twin birth paid me a visit and I stayed an additional day for room service and lactation assistance.
My twin daughters and three-year-old son are the consequences of a dream I had about two little girls and a big boy. I think it was meant to be, and everything went exactly as planned. The happiness was beyond account.
