Nigel Farage’s Reform Party makes big gains across Britain in a strong night of by-elections

Nigel Farage’s Reform UK made significant gains across Britain in a major night of by-elections held nationwide.

The party secured victories in seven contests during a packed schedule of 21 elections, stretching from the northern Highlands down to the south west coast.

Reform UK picked up seats in areas including St Helens and Tamworth, as well as Cambridgeshire, Rhyl South, Nuneaton and parts of Staffordshire.

Elsewhere, Labour and the Greens traded gains in London, while the Conservatives held a seat in Hertsmere, beating off a challenge from the Liberal Democrats.
