Prince Harry is reportedly under pressure after being told he will not receive taxpayer-funded security for his upcoming visit to the UK. The Duke of Sussex had planned to travel to Britain in July with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with the family expected to stay at a royal residence.

However, there is now growing speculation that Harry may travel alone if he cannot secure adequate protection for his family. Harry, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and lost publicly funded security, is said to be reconsidering his plans after The Sun reported that the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) rejected fresh security requests just days before the family’s expected arrival.
A source told The Sun: “Harry is reassessing everything. In the end, he’ll do whatever he can to make sure his family can travel safely.”
According to the BBC, sources close to the prince said he was left distraught by the decision.

Harry has repeatedly pointed to security concerns as the main reason Meghan and their children have not returned to Britain since 2022. As a result, all of Harry’s visits to the UK over the past four years have been solo.
Reacting to the news, broadcaster Piers Morgan wrote on X: “Good. Why should taxpayers be paying for his security?”
