Mother writer letter to her Oldest Child: “Thank You Letter for All the Times You Helped Your Little Brother”

It is common to see children thanking their parents for how they raised them and whatever they have done for them throughout their lives, but this is a heartwarming letter a mother wrote for her eldest son. It is a letter to thank her for being such a great help and making things easier.
She thanks him for caring for his little brother like a third parent. Mothers often forget to take care of themselves, especially when they have a newborn to take care of, and the only way they could get time was when the oldest son kept the baby busy. When she hasn’t gotten the time to shower for two days of tireless work, he shows his younger brother all his LEGO builds and teaches the baby how to shoot from a Nerf gun. He takes care of things, teaches him new things, and makes him familiar with stuff!
He handled the chaos when multiple things went wrong simultaneously, like when the mother dropped a plate in the kitchen and her younger sister spilled milk. He instantly picked up the younger brother so he wouldn’t get hurt. At such a young age, he is already a superhero of the family.

The mother thanked him for making things manageable; it would not have been possible without him. When the mother is busy cleaning up and doing everyday chores, the baby brother keeps tugging her and yelling for attention, but he quickly rushes to the kitchen to get a sticky treat—a popsicle—which they share while they sit outside. No more mess is to be cleaned up because he is wise!
Although he is never asked to help, he does it effortlessly and unintentionally. On days, he takes his younger brother along and always makes him feel included by taking him down the kiddie slide. This is another reason the little brother always wants to be around him.
Even at such a young age, he makes sure Mummy feels special whenever he is a buddy. He is always ready to play and engage his younger brother, even when everyone at home is cranky and tired after a long day. He helps him prepare to sleep and even reads his bedtime stories.
The quiet moments are always theirs.
The mother also recalls she was expecting a third baby; the oldest expressed his sorrow to his sister about how he might go invisible to his parents because they’d be busy with the baby.
But she wants him to know how he has become more special to them, and they know the things that are special to him, from his bike to the video games. Nonetheless, he always stops for his little brother, to take time to be with him, to create special memories.
He is a great son and a wonderful brother because the younger ones always look forward to his presence. The house is incomplete without him, and the parents are grateful daily to have such a wonderful son.
