Giving birth to six beautiful daughters in ten years was the biggest blessing for Jon and Danielle. With so many babies, parenting was a thing they knew best. With a house filled with little ladies aged six to nine, there was sunshine, love, and laughter in their home—a house filled with pink dresses, dolls, and sweet giggles. During this pregnancy, the couple’s intuition knew it would be a girl again, and they were the happiest, but their world changed when Danielle gave birth to a son.
She planned to give birth at home, i.e., a water birth, and everything went as planned, but she was shocked. She held the little human in her arms, smiling after hours of pain, but when she looked closer, she realized. It was a boy!
When interviewed, she said she was more than ready and happy about adding another baby girl to the girl gang, which was a complete surprise. Although they were always grateful to have such a beautiful family, the couple desired a son somewhere in their hearts, as it would be a complete family. It was more like a silent wish. This time, she decided not to get the ultrasound and keep the gender surprise for everyone in the room, and fortunately, it was a surprise.
She even uploaded a video of her birth on her social media handles, demonstrating how she was so surprised but overwhelmingly happy while she held her son in her arms. It felt like falling in love again. Israel Jonathan completed their family of nine. All the times the couple silently prayed to have a baby boy had been heard and answered, and it was truly a moment that they will cherish forever.
Jon, who had completely adjusted to being a girl’s dad, is still learning new things now that he is a father of a son. He also looks forward to getting advice from his friends with baby boys on avoiding sprays and mishaps. He had a good laugh while he told everyone that when he went to change Israel’s diaper, it left him in shock, and it took him time to process things.
The couple also shared how they did not plan on having seven kids, but each has added much happiness to their lives. The once quiet house was filled with joy and increasing love with the birth of each child. The couple cherishes a table full of little humans they give birth to and awaits the days when their children will come home with their families. It will always be a whole house!
Jon and Danielle also expressed their desire to grow their family not biologically this time, but they want to opt for adoption and foster care to do good for the lives of more babies. Danielle, as she recently gave birth, is taking her time recovering and healing from pregnancy effects, but she is thankful that their dream came true and has a heart full of gratitude! She calls the birth of her son ‘The sweetest surprise.’
