It’s normal for humans to get hopeless once failures hit us repeatedly, but we forget that God’s plan is always the greatest. This is similar to the story of Beth Goins, who lost hope after her long journey through infertility. It was back in 2008 when the couple, madly in love, started trying for a baby. They wanted to grow a beautiful family, so Beth and her husband, Allen, decided not to give up too soon.

The next three years were a roller coaster ride. Although the couple did stick to each other and did not let their partner lose hope, all that their lives were surrounded by were failed IUI attempts, the count went up to 10! Not just this, multiple negative pregnancy tests, each one having a toll on their emotions, surgeries, medication, and whatnot. Nothing seemed to work, especially when it was no longer just about being low emotionally, but now they were struggling financially, having a tough time too; thus, they decided it was better to stop and choose another way!
This was in 2011 when the couple decided to go for adoption.

One day after being listed with an agency they chose, they welcomed their first baby home. It was Delaney’s baby girl, and in the following year, the news of Delaney’s biological mother giving birth to another beautiful baby overjoyed the couple. In June 2014, Kylea, the sister, also became a permanent part of the lovely family. The couple that had prayed and had countless restless nights to have a baby were now a family of four. The journey did not stop here, as unexpectedly, after a few years, their biological mother reached out again. Was it another baby? Yes! This time, a boy!

Although Brookes’ adoption took a bit longer, i.e., 16 months of court proceedings, finally the adoption was finalised with the family. Since Beth and Allen had started their adoption journey, they had forgotten about the times they were hurt and were unable to conceive, or they probably did not want to recall it all. Just like that, 10 years passed when things changed for the couple. The children were loved dearly, but one day, Beth felt unwell and decided to visit the doctor. On the visit, it was confirmed that she was expecting!

36-year-old Beth, who the doctors had told would never be able to conceive, was carrying her baby. Just one day after the adoption of Brooke was finalized, the pregnancy test was also positive. It felt like God had been testing them all this time, and now it was time to get rewarded. Despite having doubts and fears, the pregnancy went smoothly, and at 10 weeks, the couple learned that they were having a baby girl.

It took one entire day of labour pain and two constant hours of pushing to welcome their little flower, Caroline Rose, into this world after 39 weeks of pregnancy and prayers. She was a healthy baby girl who weighed 7 pounds. Although Beth states that she had already accepted that fate had written for her to become a mother through adoption, it was a miracle. All four children are loved dearly, and becoming a mother through pregnancy and adoption are the two most beautiful chapters of Beth’s life!
