Who knew animals, too, could be mirrors of the souls of human beings? She experienced this when something incredible and unexpected happened in the woman’s life. She was sent a photo of a rescue cat with a cleft lip. Not only that, but the cat had eyes of two different colors. So, without wasting time, she forwarded the picture to the cleft support group on Facebook, but she felt it was something new and different.
Madden, her son, instantly clicked in the woman’s mind, and it was not just that the cat resembled her son physically but that she felt a different kind of connection.
The woman’s son, Madden, was 7 years old. He did not just have a cleft lip, a rare condition called heterochromia iridium, but he also had eyes of two different colors. One of his eyes was blue, while the other was green. Both conditions that the boy was diagnosed with are rare, but it was a one-in-a-million thing that she had experienced.
She now knew she wanted Moon, the cat, to be a part of the family, as both her child and the cat could have the same traits, and the beautiful bond they would form with time would be indescribable. It felt like destiny had planned to bring them together at this point, so without any delay, they gathered funds from strangers and their friends and family to travel. The cat was in Minnesota while the family lived in Oklahoma.
The world had always made Madden feel different, but mostly not in a good way. The innocent boy spent his life fitting in groups and consistently trying to feel included, but that was never made possible. The moment Madden and Moon met, the decision was made. Mook was going home with them! It felt like Moon’s presence in the boy’s life would heal his traumas and teach him what love looks like. The world is not a bad place after all!
Although there were multiple incidents where Madden was bullied, the boy stood firm. He even recorded a video about how being kind and accepting people as they are is so important. It felt like the little boy’s wisdom was much more than all grown adults, who couldn’t protect him from the harshness, even once. The message was loved by thousands of people from all over the globe, but at some point, Madden fell weak from the constant bullying.
This is why it was time to bring the Moon to heal in fur. The cat is a beautiful example of how differences make you unique and attractive; thus, Madden and Moon built their beautiful world with colored eyes and cleft lips. A world with no harshness or the cruelty of people, as it was just the two of them there!
This is a beautiful story of how it is not always necessary that the companion you are looking for may come in human form; it could be a cat, too!
You can not change the world and the people around you; you are not responsible for changing them. You need to believe in how flaws can bring beauty.
