How life looks through your eyes is all about your perspective. For the couple, it is chaotic but full of love and joy, so it is undoubtedly a perfect balance. Having four children, two sets of twins, is not something for the ordinary. While the first set of twins are bickering over a toy in the lounge, the newborns look at their mother, smiling. The two-year-old baby is kneeling, asking his mom for a snack. It gets overwhelming, but we call mothers superwomen for a reason.
All this started back in 2015. The month was November, and the girl, being a photographer, was all set to shoot a wedding. She packed her cameras and everything necessary for the shoot and headed to the venue. Who knew the wedding would become such an essential part of her life? When her eyes landed on the bride’s brother, she could not take them off. She even whispered in her assistant’s mind how the bride’s brother was cute, and it was THE MOMENT!
Fast-forward nine months. Austin, the bird’s brother and the photographer got engaged, and soon after that, in four months, she was walking down the aisle for the love of her life. Destiny always has a plan; everything happens when we least expect it. The wedding took place at a dreamy destination, the Florida beach, but what followed after that was dreamier. A month after the wedding, the couple was expecting! Not one but two babies.
They were nervous but so ready for the new journey. Becoming parents is undoubtedly the most beautiful moment of a person’s life, and the fact that they welcomed two beautiful girls, Rosalie and Eloise, in November 2017 made their lives even more attractive. November was surely a lucky month for the couple. Motherhood is tough, so the postpartum depression and anxiety took over her after she gave birth. Still, she did not give up; her positive feelings, love for her babies, and a heart filled with gratitude helped her overcome her negative emotions.
Time passed quickly while the couple cherished every moment. Just a year later, they found out they would have a baby. Cordelia, whom they lovingly call Coco, was born in October 2019. She was a calm baby, and her infancy brought the parents joy and healing. In a few months, COVID-19 had taken over the world. The dynamics of how the world worked had shifted, so they decided it was high time to fulfill one of the biggest dreams the couple had had. It was to build a home, A barndominium.
While the house was being built, another surprise awaited them. It was October 2020, and the couple waited in the room for an ultrasound. The mother knew she had experienced this before. Two heartbeats again? She was again expecting, which made her fearful but overwhelmed with happiness. She did not know how to process this; the journey was tiring, but worth it!
Austin did not know of this, so the moment she arrived home, he asked if everything was okay, so she handed over the ultrasound results. He was blank and shocked. The reaction was hilarious.
The pair of boys arrived in June 2021. Giving birth to five babies and two sets of twins in under four years was a crazy but beautiful journey.
Some days get tiring, but the couple is grateful that life has surprised them so much, every time in a beautiful way. They would not trade anything for the life they were living!
