On January 15th, 2015, Becky welcomed a beautiful baby girl. The couple was overjoyed, as with her arrival, their wish to have a daughter and a family was complete. Not just the couple but Primrose Maeve Price’s elder brothers, Kristian, the oldest sibling aged 7, and Gabriel, only 3, were excited to welcome the baby home, too.
After getting to know the gender, every day was about getting pink clothes, setting up the house, and counting the days until the baby girl arrived. The pregnancy was also normal throughout until, at 37 weeks, scans were done, and it was found that the baby was breech.

The attempt to get ECV done did not succeed, and it was a painful experience for Becky. It was time to get a C-section done so the baby and the mother both were safe. It was terrifying as no one from the family expected to face such consequences after so many peaceful months; however, the scary experience and every fear Becky had when she held the baby for the first time.

The family wholeheartedly welcomed Primrose Maeve Price at 10:40 a.m. She was a beautiful Abby with beautiful blue eyes that looked like gems straight from heaven and long blonde hair. Becky was in tears watching her perfect baby girl.
Primrose was a calm baby and did not give the family a hard time. Most of the time, she was sleeping or playing around with the family members, passing smiles that made them fall in love repeatedly with the baby. The baby girl’s arrival had further added so much happiness and joy to the family. However, the parents noticed that the baby did not gain much weight even after she was eight months old, and her activity was limited.

At the age when babies are eager to taste everything, Primrose hardly eats anything, so the couple decides to see a doctor. The doctor reassures her that the baby is okay and that babies’ eating patterns may vary, so there is nothing to worry about.
The parents were delighted that she started doing well in everything by eight months. She was hitting all her first milestones on time, enjoyed spending time with her brothers, and had also started to eat well. Primrose was a baby with a goofy personality, and she always ended up with the parents and the family getting a good laugh. Her cutest toothy grin and how she squealed in excitement were enough to make anyone’s day.

Everything felt perfect in her presence, but things changed when she did not wake up one morning. On November 17th, 2019, the couple gently placed her to bed after another day well-spent preparing the Christmas tree and setting up other stuff. However, the scream Becky heard from her partner the next morning shattered their family.
Even after several attempts to wake Primrose up, she did not seem to make any movement, and so, Becky tried performing CPR and begged for help, but she was gone forever.

Holding the lifeless body of her 10 month and 3 days old baby was the most helpless she had ever felt in her entire life. Primrose was so dear to the family that Becky would trade her life to get her back.
The couple rushed to the hospital, but all they returned with were a few memories that the doctors gave them, complete silence, and Primrose’s body. In the hospital, the couple held her tight and kissed her as they would have the moment she woke up every day. The doctors gave the couple a lock of Primrose’s hair and her footprints in a box.

The couple wished for the couple to be nothing but a nightmare; however, the reality couldn’t be escaped when the couple stood in front of Primerose’s chapel the next day. It looked like she was sleeping, but she was ice-cold and had a tear on her cheek. The parents wanted to know the reason for her death, which is why a post-mortem of her body was done, but no satisfactory cause was given, so the parents kept waiting for months. The doctors said it could be SIDS.
They wanted to bid their love goodbye beautifully, so her funeral was about what she would have loved in the few months she lived: pink flowers, a white horse, and all the community members wore pink bows to honour the princess.

The family said goodbye one last time on the 12th, and until then, they had been visiting her daily in the funeral home to leave pieces of their memories.
It was the hardest thing the couple had ever done, as the house that echoed laughter and love was now covered in sorrow and grief. However, the couple wanted Primrose to be remembered forever, so they collected over $700 and made a tribute page. The family will never stop spreading awareness and making changes to prevent such incidents from happening again.
