After Losing Baby to Tubal Pregnancy, Mom Welcomes ‘Rainbow Baby’ Audrey Joy; A Story of Faith, Healing, and Hope

The journey of healing from heartbreak can be daunting. It requires countless days of breaking down and returning stronger than ever, having unshakeable faith, and so on. 2015 the couple was over the moon when the pregnancy test came out positive. It felt like the best December of their lives.
They wanted to embrace parenthood the third time for a long time, and joy and happiness were all over. However, like the previous times, the pregnancy was not smooth, as just a few days after the pink lines appeared, the wife experienced a sharp, stabbing pain. It was unbearable, and she knew there was something wrong going on!

They did not delay the visit to the hospital, which was a good idea as the doctors confirmed that the pregnancy was tubal. They reassured that the situation could be controlled with care, but unfortunately, things did not go as planned. Despite getting all the necessary medical attention and medications, her fallopian tubes ruptured. That day, she was rushed into the emergency room, and a surgery was performed. It was the tube ligation surgery that had to be performed to save her life.
The emotional trauma she went through was way heavier than the physical pain she experienced, as losing the baby felt like losing a part of her.

The husband, too, was devastated as he feared losing his wife. She did not know how to deal with the situation and repeatedly questioned God why. The only answer she figured out was that they would find joy through all this.
This is the beauty of having immense faith and not giving up. Her belief that soon things would turn out fine became her strength, and she felt better. And guess what? Her belief turned out to be true. In a few months, the couple was expecting again. Excitement, joy, and fear were all a part of the journey, but hope was a constant—the hope for something beautiful to happen.

The experience of losing the baby did have adverse effects on the parents emotionally, but it also brought them closer and strengthened the love between them. Exactly one year after the loss, there she was in the delivery room, all set to deliver her rainbow baby. They named her Audrey Joy, as the amount of happiness she brought to the family with her presence was immeasurable.

As the mother held her gently in her arms, she was reminded of the previous loss, but her heart was filled with so much gratitude and joy. When she shared her feelings on social media, countless women who experienced birth could relate to her experience and send her love too.
Audrey Joy is the perfect example of how things get better and you heal, no matter how significant the loss is. With great faith, things become easy!
