Like any other woman, Elizabeth Grow dreamt of becoming the perfect mother. What made the wish even stronger was that she spent most of her life around children, as for eighteen whole years, she was an educator and a kindergarten teacher. She also had a little dream close to her, but her finances stopped her. The dream was to adopt.
However, it is true that wherever there is will, God makes a way. Thus, she did not give up on her little dream, and soon, she was all set with the right funds to raise a child and give him/ her a beautiful life. Elizabeth joined a home-based marketing company, making it easier for her to adopt a baby as it acted like a side business.

Moreover, she was blessed enough that everyone around her who was close to her heart was there to support her, whether it was people from the community, her best friends, or her family members. The only person who did not like the ideology of adopting a child was Elizabeth’s father, as he believed that a child equally needs the presence of a father in his life, and no one wants a single mom.
Although hearing these remarks from her dad was harsh, she firmly believed that being surrounded by one parent is always better than having none. Thus, she was mentally, financially, and emotionally ready to welcome a beautiful child. Without wasting any more time, she invested time in looking for and contacting multiple agencies that allow one to adopt, and finally, she found one that felt like the place she looked for. It was a Christian-based agency named Lifeline Children’s Services.

She met Sarah there, who was her caseworker and assisted her with every step. Elizabeth chose international adoption, and after extensive research, she opted for China as the place she wanted to adopt. There were two main reasons behind it: it didn’t require an extended stay, and the adoption process was not too long either.
On October 9, 2015, she finally applied, and her daughter, whom she would adopt, was born three days before her arrival. Loads of paperwork, studying case studies thoroughly, and getting all the necessary information about immigration, Elizabeth was determined to adopt the baby. She couldn’t wait to finally and officially become a mother.

In 2016, on September 12, Elizabeth received a call. A little girl, Kori, needed a home and a beautiful family, and when Elizebeth saw the picture, she was in tears. The baby looked exactly like a child she once saw in a dream. The cute little bob haircut and the chubbiest little cheeks. Not just this, the baby’s date of birth was the same as Elizabeth’s- October 6.
She knew she was meant to be Koris’s mother, so she adopted her and named her Kenlee after her grandparents, but the meaning was even greater: ‘ Kings Meadow’.

Elizabeth travelled to China with her mother this time, and the first time she saw and held her daughter, the feeling could not be put in words. She dressed Kenlee in black and gold clothes and named the day they were united ‘Out Forever Family Day. ’

Kenlee bonded quickly with Elizabeth and is now thriving, living a quality life and getting all the love she deserves. On the other hand, for all the people who told Elizabeth she couldn’t raise a child on her own, she proved how she is the most wonderful single parent! It was only possible because she believed in herself, not what people assumed.
