After one signs up, he is assigned a deployed soldier, and there is no specific process for that, as all the pairings are randomly done. Jackson, who is now her husband, was chosen for her! After the pairing, they started conversations and communicated by writing each other emails and sending selfies. The connection was not deep, but a special bond existed.
