After recently shifting to Colorado, the family did not have much to do until she discovered a skiing program. Who doesn’t enjoy free skiing, especially when they will also accommodate the kids? The best part was not just that the ski passes were free, but that they were also offering classes for kids. The criteria stated that the kids could be in Kindergarten until grade five; thus, without thinking any longer, she knew it was time to ski.

Three of her children fulfilled the criteria for the beginner classes. The offer was only valid for the first ten days of December, so she immediately chose the 7th of December at Breckenridge. It was one of the top resorts in the area, so it was not an opportunity to be missed.
The excitement was at its peak knowing that the kids would get to ski at one of the top resorts for free. It was more like a family getaway, as they could take time from their busy schedules.

The couple took the older three to ski while the twins were left with their Grandpa for the day. The breastfeeding baby was also brought along on the trip. They planned to leave Friday morning to get plenty of rest before the classes started Saturday morning. Leaving on Friday also allowed them to spend another day together as a family.
Before leaving, the mother fulfilled all her responsibilities, from packing the necessary stuff to informing the teachers about their plan. The best part was that the teachers were equally happy and supportive, as learning is not limited to books; skill learning is the best thing ever. As they climbed the mountains, the little ones giggled about what their classmates might be doing while they were going to have the best time of their lives.

The parents captured those precious moments while the kids were swimming at the hotel. The mother also shared a picture of her baby watching the older ones play, and the love she got on that post was immense. The best among them were the complaints of being called ‘the mother of the year’. The comment made her laugh out loud, and she found it necessary to share it with her husband Tim, too, who was snowboarding nearby.

She deserved the compliment, as parents rarely think this way. Missing out on school to have fun is a good idea once in a while. The kids deserve it too!
Every little moment was worth it, from learning to ski on mountains to watching snowflakes fall while they sat in hot tubs. They had the best times of their lives, dining out, and having the best conversation as a family. What they learned was not just a skill; with it came confidence in themselves. It was a day that enhanced their learning and did not harm it.

Thus, the judgments people passed, those sitting from their homes commenting, did not matter that day as the school would be there, but weekends like this are rare and very dear.
Cheers to learning new stuff!
