I’m Carli Grant, a Southern New Hampshire mother of three children: Ryen, age seven; Amelia, age two; and Elliot, age three months. From climbing in the crags to drifting to the ocean, my life with my spouse Josh is full of escapade. I fell in affection with stitching during my condition with Elliot, foundation with coverlets, hats, and aprons for the baby.

I started making clothes for Amelia out of stuff from tailored we envisioned to give because I wanted to be more original. Amelia became my role perfect and stimulus because of her daring and fun-loving character. She is a mixture of audacious outside energy and girly princess imaginations, much like her father, who takes us on countryside-filled exploits throughout New England. Using handmade clothing, I stand in her love of bandage up.
I complete the choice to turn Josh’s old Oxford shirts into clothes for Amelia after determining a pile of them one day. Every shirt had a backstory, and I was overwhelmed with reminiscences as I functioned on them. Then I saw the shirt Josh was tiring the day Amelia was born. I was hit with feeling. I exactly stitched it into a dress, recalling that lovely day with every stitch.

I asked Josh if he recalled that shirt when he got home and saw Amelia trying to wear the dress. When he unspoken its significance, his face altered. As he held Amelia in his arms, he told her that she looked pretty in her special dress and that, Daddy was going to wear this shirt the day you were infant.

What began out as a creative activity changed into something much more thoughtful, a exact means of covering our daughter in love and protecting memories.
