The story of three Angels and a Fighter; Mother shares her journey to embracing and struggling

Her heart sank when, back in 2015, she was told that her egg reserve was way too low. Means she might never be able to conceive a baby. But what about the dream of embracing motherhood? One of her biggest wishes in life.

If she wanted to become a mother, she had to be quick, but her health had stopped her until 2017. She planned everything, had a donor, and lots of hope in her heart!

Then came a dull period, the first heartbreak, when she had to suffer a miscarriage at just six weeks pregnant. She was broken, but the woman knew her strength. She could not give up so early.

A few months later, she conceived twins. When she was told she was carrying twins, it was both exciting and terrifying—joy, gratitude, anxiety, and a hurricane of emotions surrounded the couple. The pregnancy was more special when the couple discovered they were having a boy and a girl. It was time to build a perfect family.

But the fact is undeniable that life isn’t a bed of roses. When she was 16 weeks pregnant, her body betrayed her. She was bleeding and had sudden painful contractions, which eventually got her admitted to the hospital. This was precisely what they weren’t looking forward to.

According to the ultrasound, the babies were moving perfectly and beautifully, which sparked hope that things would be fine.

However, soon the doctor told them something that made their hearts race: ‘You’re dilated. You have been in labour.’

She was moved to the labour floor immediately, and in a few minutes, she gave birth to her son, Buchanan. Three hours later, Nori was born- silent and still, a lifeless baby.

They were the most beautiful and tiniest babies the mother had ever seen, and losing them left a significant impact on her.

Despite going through so much, the mother gathered courage and asked the doctor if the couple could try again because she wanted to experience motherhood for one. After two failed experiences, she knew what it felt like to become a mother, but where were her kids?

Two weeks later, while watching an episode of Hollywood Medium, she said a silent prayer to get a positive sign, and the next day, she went to get the footprints of her babies tattooed.

The tattoo artist came out stressed out and shaken. But why? He broke down when he turned the cards with their names because it was his late grandmother’s name.

She took it as a sign and breathed relief, considering it a sign from God that her babies were perfwonderful that she shouldn’t give up yet.

In a few weeks, she was diagnosed with unicornuate uterus, which meant only half of her uterus was developed, which is why she went early into labour and was having issues conceiving babies.

In 2018, she turned to IVF as her new job was covering all the expenses, and the doctor told her not to give up. The odds were low as they only retrieved five eggs- 4 fertilized, two transferred, and one frozen.

Two weeks in, and she was pregnant again!

At 8 weeks, two heartbeats were heard through the scan. Twins again!

This time, she decided not to take any chances and joined an online support group where she got in contact with Dr. Paul, who cared and promised to fight for her babies. After conducting a few tests, he figured out that the woman also had a blood clotting disorder and did everything to treat it. At 17 weeks, she again had to hear what she feared the most. She lost her son.

She couldn’t fully grieve as both babies were still inside her. The sister needed to be protected.

Every day passed was a milestone and a step closer to giving birth.

Three weeks before she had to give birth, she was again in the hospital due to extremely high blood pressure, and surgery had to be done. After so much pain and years of waiting… Leti was born. The tiny cries were what they craved for. She had two little marks on her forehead shaped like footprints. She was a miracle!

Although she couldn’t hold James for long, the mother loved all her babies with her entire heart, and she can’t wait to tell Leti everything about Nori, Buchhan, James, and how she is a miracle!
