Woman shares why she just takes her sister’s baby- “I don’t wait for her to ask”

A sister saying, ‘Whenever I visit my sister, I don’t wait for her to ask for her help—I just take her baby’ sounds dramatic and unusual, but it isn’t what it seems like! It is a bond they have shared naturally because of previous experiences and pure love.

When she visits her sister’s house, she scoops the cutest sleepy baby in her arms for the next few hours, and it is the best feeling ever. A show she loved and her favorite little human in her arms, that’s all she needs now.

The sister becomes a second mother, responsible for diapers, bottles, wardrobe, and changes—everything! One big reason for this is that she wants her sister to rest.

Motherhood is tough and can drain your life. Sleepless nights, not even having time to eat, and accepting physical changes—so much comes at once that it becomes hard to handle.

She wants her sister to sleep, eat, clean, or do whatever she likes in those few hours. She wants to give her time that is actually ‘hers ’ and is not occupied by fulfilling responsibilities—a space every woman deserves after such a long, painful journey.

She does it all without realising because moms don’t ask for anything. They are selfless. She won’t ever ask for help or tell others how she feels because she knows she is capable of it all, but being human, everyone needs it now and then.

A change must be made to acknowledge every mother’s efforts.

She realized how much easier things had been for her because her mother-in-law had stayed with her throughout and after her pregnancy. Her mother-in-law showed up every Friday night, without being invited, to look after the kids and care for them in every possible way.

No matter how drained she got throughout the week, she knew she would get rest on Fridays, eventually making her responsibilities easier and more manageable. The little pause in the chaos gave her courage and saved her in so many ways.

As a wonderful sister and superwoman, she wants to make things easier for her sister. She takes the baby, spends quality time with it, and gives herself time to regain her energy. Not only is she helping her sister, but she is also building a beautiful bond with her nephew.

This is what being part of a village feels like: not waiting for the white flag to be raised but showing up before the burnout.

The story is a beautiful message for those who are also mothers, sisters, friends, aunts, or are playing any role as a woman. Be there for your fellow girlies, love them loudly, and help them through tough times. Each woman has the power to add beauty to their journey!

Let’s all build a village together! A safe place for every woman.
